The SBF series is a furniture series based on the concept of "Simple But Functional," jointly developed with Sakakibara Kogyo Co., Ltd., a company that specializes in metal welding. Its simple structure is achieved through highly accurate welding techniques without the use of any screws or bolts.
By eliminating all unnecessary decoration and "exposing" its function and structure as is, it is simple yet leaves a strong impression,giving it an architectural presence. It blends quietly into residential spaces as well as public settings such as offices, cafes, and galleries, and also functions as an object that stops the eye and creates space in the space.
SBFシリーズは、金属溶接を得意とする榊原工業株式会社と共同開発した
“Simple But Functional”をコンセプトとするプロダクト、家具シリーズです。
ネジやボルトを使わず、高精度な溶接技術によって成立するシンプルな構造体。
余計な装飾を省き、機能と構造をそのまま「見せる」ことで、
シンプルでありながら強い印象を残し、まるで建築のような存在感を放ちます。
住宅空間はもちろん、オフィスやカフェ、ギャラリーのようなパブリックな
シーンにも静かに溶け込みながら、視線を止め、空間に余白をつくるオブジェ
としても機能します。
